Tech-obsessed teens are still human: How do teens want to communicate during times of stress?
Abstract
This discussion will focus on the findings from the Parkview Research Center's Informatics team study, sponsored by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. In this three-phase study, we focused on who youth and young adults want to communicate with in times of stress and how they want this communication to occur. We used multiple study design methods (Delphi study, focus groups, surveys/polling technology) to gain a deeper understanding of the wants and needs of youth/young adults regarding their mental health, with the goal to help create, introduce and facilitate resources for coping strategies during times of stress.
