Parkview’s focus on research conducted here is patient-centered, focusing on clinical and translational research — from “bench-to-bedside.” While centers such as this are normally affiliated with academic medical centers, the Mirro Center is among few research centers within the United States that are affiliated with a not-for-profit regional hospital. The core purpose of the Mirro Center is to encourage collaboration and synergy among clinicians, non-clinicians and patients to create an environment that nurtures creativity, leverages innovation, and builds inter-professional clinical teams — all while keeping patient needs at the center of all activity.
