Efficacy of ephedrine vs. phenylephrine for intraoperative hypotension management in THA/TKA
Abstract
This study found that ephedrine was more effective in resolving hypotension after a single dose. Phenylephrine had a stronger MAP elevation but carries a higher risk for hypertension. Neither agent showed significant differences in bradycardia, tachycardia, or post-operative AKI.
